Getting to Essex Culinary Resort & Spa The drive from our home in New York took about 4.5 hours with a few stops, and the closer we got, the more rural and beautiful the scenery became. Camp Cook allows children ages 10-16 to discover their inner chef while learning kitchen safety, preparing gourmet meals, and collecting fresh herbs and vegetables from the resort’s garden to use daily.
